Can't access followed people (Following count is zero although I follow people)

I try to follow people, but still the number displayed (following) is zero. Same problem on Windows 8.1, Ubuntu and iPhone. (The number of followers is correct though.) So I can't access playlists and recent activity for followed people, only the followers.

I don't know. I realized it right after I got premium the other day and started following friends. So I guess it has been that way as long as I can remember. (I have followed artists before but never bothered very much to check them.) Now I follow 2 friends and 1 artist but neither of them show.
