I was until now able to share an idividual song to facebook by right clicking on the song which opened a box from which I selected facebook and it was shared, wonderful. Now when I right click the song It opens up a box that says share link to clipboard, i don't know what that is and can't find it. Can I have the plain old share button back?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hey @gel714
The option to copy the link, URI, or embed code has moved to the "Share" menu. Right click on something and then click on "share".
You should still be able to paste as you usually do after clicking on "copy to clipboard"
Also, there is a Facebook button. When you click that it will open Facebook in your web browser and there will be a popup with the link already entered for easy posting.

Clipboard just means the operating system's program that stores the text that was copied. It's just a term used to refer to it. The developers could have just put "copy link" I think, but it works the same way.
So in summarry, it funtions the same way as before, but now you have to click "share" first.
Hopefully this helps answer your question.
Thank you Matt it worked!!!!!

I spoke a little to soon, the Spotify songs now show up on my mobile device but not my PC?
Hey @gel714
Can you please explain the problem in more detail? Thanks
Okay,
I did the sharing of the song from my PC to Facebook and it seemed that all was well, but it never showed up on my Facebook page when viewed from my PC. The posted song does show up on my Facebook page when it is viewed from a mobile device.
Hope this makes sense.....
Songs are now showing up on PC and mobile don't know why but i'm glad, thanks again for your help!
Bring back the direct share/messaging feature.
I just want to echo the sentiment of bringing back DIRECT sharing through Spotify. I don't connect my Spotify with my Facebook because I don't want to and I don't use other social media platforms. I'm also a longtime paying user, by the way. Please reconsider this change -- we do not all want to be social using those standard platforms.
Glad to hear! You're welcome
