My Question or Issue
Pressing play on a daylist when playing through a connected device causes the daylist that was last started on that device to play, instead of the updated one.
Currently going to the connected device and restarting the playlist from there and then reconnecting.
To reproduce
Start a daylist playing.
Wait until daylist updates.
From another connected device, press play on the updated daylist.
The previous daylist will start again on the original device.

Not sure why the words i7_-_9700_K_CPU_@_3.60_GHz (without underscores) are getting censored.
*edit* ohhh it's because it thinks it's an email address?
Hey @danzabarr,
Thanks for providing the info.
Yes, this being recognized as an email address is probably the reason why it's being censored.
We've forwarded the info to the relevant team here at Spotify, however, we can't confirm when it will be addressed. In the meantime, please make sure to keep your app up-to-date.
Cheers,
I have the same issue with the daylist being out of sync on devices. Mainly I keep the app open on my Win 10 PC pretty much all the time and the daylist gets stuck on whatever daylist was played last on that the PC, even after I've successfully played a newer daylist on my phone or PS5. Whenever I switch back to the PC without closing and reopening the app, then the old playlist tries to play. This sometimes causes the "Now Playing" screen on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra to be frozen/inaccessible until I resume play on the Spotify android app.
I've attached screenshots of me switching from PC to Phone and then back to PC and it goes from a Thursday daylist to today's Sunday daylist then back to Thursday's.
This is still not working as it should.
Same problem with blends which are frequently updating playlists.
Starting one of these playlists via a remote device is not possible if the speaker device hasn't updated it yet.
I have tested on various versions of the software, and on android, browser, Linux, mac, windows, and it does not appear to be a platform or version specific bug
I see the same problem with my iMac and iPhone. The iMac runs 24/7 and my iPhone is the connect remote.
if the daylist expires overnight, the phone will update but the iMac won’t. Therefore when I play track 1 on my phone it plays the old track 1 on my iMac.
I have the same problem- it means I have to keep going back to my connected device (computer) and manually click on the daylist to get it to refresh. Otherwise, the wrong song plays when selecting from mobile.
I’m pretty much having the same issue now. My daylist playing on my iPhone does not do any next updates when it says at what time it would. When this happens i usually have to wait all day or even next, just for it to update on its own.. I went on my Mac device to check it, and it updated right away but it only changed the day title but remained the same old songs from the past day.
Same issue here. What's worse is that I can't keep listening to the same list I had on my phone when switching to the PC. Spotify just refuses to play the songs as long as I remain in that playlist. So even the forced sync when both devices are online at the same time does not work.
Funny... I'm having a similar but kind of opposite problem. The daylist on my phone is updating several hours before it says it's supposed to, but the one on my MAC stays the same until the correct time to update. This ultimately creates the exact same playback issue mentioned by OP (and everyone else in this thread).
Hey, @MihailY, this issue is almost one year old now. I know you said you couldn't confirm when it will be addressed, but it's starting to feel like the issue is not a very high priority for the relevant team you copied in. Is there another team, or someone else at Spotify who might care a little more, or otherwise take a more keen interest? I'm almost sure there will be..
All the best,
Dan
A year later and it's still broken, even more than the post suggested, I see different daylists on each device, and I can't play songs with one device's daylist on another device. Does no one at spotify care?

My Question or Issue
The daylist is hugely different between my PC (first image) and phone (second image). Genres are complete opposites.
Additionally, I cannot play the playlist from my phone with my PC as the output as the playlists do not match.
Is there any way to resolve this?
I just ran into this issue trying to move playback from my phone to my laptop desktop app. It didn't allow me to move playback over and when I went to open the daylist on the laptop it was different. I played that different daylist on my laptop and then couldn't control it or move playback to my phone. Interestingly the web app showed the same playlist as the desktop app and did allow me to swap and control playback to/from my phone.
This has been merged but seems to be a different issue.
Hey folks!
We've alerted the folks backstage and this is being looked into 🙂
Keep your apps up to date at all times & we'll keep you posted.
@danzabarr, as far as I can see your issue is similar to the Daylists not updating unless the device gets restarted but this is happening with a Connect speaker and Blends for you. So, in other words, this issue affects multiple playlists that update themselves and not just the Daylists or Blends. We'd love it if you could confirm what your issue is so that we can be on the same page!
Many thanks!
Hi Vasil, thanks for getting back.
As far as I can tell the issue affects playlists which update themselves. I have tested it for both daylists and blends.
See the picture.
I just clicked play on the laptop/controller device to start "pilates stretching morning".
But on the main PC/playback device, it has started playing from an older daylist, which is still showing "flow state melodic saturday".
Let me know if you need any more info.
Dan
