Hello,
I'm having an issue with the "download" filter being applied constantly when switching around in my music folders. I've made sure I'm not hitting the button to apply the tag. It's constantly happening and making it annoying to use your service on my computer.
Premium sub on an updated Windows 10 computer.
Hi there @Dienacarfire,
Thanks for reaching out. What tag are you referring to exactly? Can you send us some screenshots so we can see exactly what's happening?
Keep us posted.
Hey @Dienacarfire,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Just to confirm, is this happening across devices or only on your PC?
If it only happens on your phone, we suggest that you try logging out and then logging back in twice in a row. We know this sounds odd, but it will trigger a sync between your account and PC.
If this doesn't do the trick, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.
If the issue persists, could you ask a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your PC and check if they can replicate this behavior with their account?
We'll be on the lookout.
I run Spotify on a three different Windows computers - they're all having this issue. I can honestly say that sometimes maybe I'm accidentally clicking the tag, but I know other times I very much haven't. It also isn't a constant issue, so I'm not sure I can get it replicated by another person (eg - letting someone use my computer for hours/days).
Hey @Dienacarfire,
Thanks for the response.
Are you using Spotify's offline mode on your devices?
Note that if you switch to offline mode, the app will automatically set the filter to Downloaded, as the rest of the content won't be available.
Hope this helps. We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Hello,
No, I am not using the offline mode. I'll just be listening to some music, or sometimes not, open up the program from the task bar - and it's already set the Downloaded filter. Sometimes it happens when I'm already in the program (like, actively doing stuff/changing music/etc). Just seems to filter itself randomly and I'm unsure why. I don't expect any sort of immediate resolution, just wanted to let y'all know I noticed this issue 🙂
Thanks for keeping us in the loop @Dienacarfire!
Could you try changing the Your Library view to see if the same thing happens? For example, you can do so by collapsing Your Library. Just click on the Your Library icon and the tab should minimize. Another option is to try switching on the Playlist filter in Your Library.
Fingers crossed it works! Let us know how you get on.
