Error creating link to invite collaborators, help?

Error creating link to invite collaborators, help?

I can't create a link to invite collaborators onto my Spotify playlist.
As soon as I click the option to do that, it says "Something went wrong."
No link, just the popup, and that's all.
I am using Spotify Desktop on Windows 11 Home 23H2.

Hey @levelupmusic360,

Sorry to see you've been having issues with your collab links!

Make sure you're not using any VPN services and that the Offline Mode is set to off. Once this is done, in case the issue persists, we can go for some troubleshooting:

Let's start by clearing the app's cached data. Log out of the app and back in twice in a row after this to trigger a manual sync of all your settings & data. In case this doesn't help, restart your PC & make sure there aren't any pending app updates. I'd also check the Hardware Acceleration setting (Upper left three dot menu -> Help -> Troubleshooting -> Disable Hardware Acceleration and Restart).

If the abovementioned steps don't change the app behaviour, you can try going for a complete clean reinstall of the app. This will remove all Spotify-related data and could resolve things for you. In case it doesn't though, here's some additional info we'd need:

  • Does the issue appear only on this device?
  • Does it appear with a different account on the same device?
  • Your Spotify app version.

Many thanks in advance; hope this helps! We'll be on the lookout for your reply 🙂
