Forced delay when attempting to resume song from Bose Bluetooth headphones

This is extremely repeatable for me, so I'm wondering if I'm the only one having this issue.

I have the following bluetooth headphones which have a button on them to allow for pause, resume, skip next, and skip previous.

All of the functions technically work, but if I pause a song through my headset, there is about a 20 second delay where I can't resume the song from my headset.  It's almost always around 20 seconds before it allows me to resume.  I can pause and skip forward and skip backward without having any delay between the functions.  It seems to be isolated when attempting to resume a song after pausing it.

Exactly the same happend to me. I still have the same problem tested with two bluetooth headphones. I can confirm, that the delay is exactly 20 seconds (tested several times)
