Is there are a way to remove a song from ever being played at all? And if not, why. I'm not looking for a community answer to that,  I want a response from Spotify. Why isn't this an option?

I listened to a song ONCE. Liked it ok, but didn't love it, but I was on a playlist someone else made so I just skipped it. Well that was in March, it's now September and ever since Spotify was been trying tooth and nail to get me to listen to this song every. single. day. Why? It's from an indie artist so I feel pretty sure that they don't have this aggressive of a contract with Spotify for them to push the song that much and it's not a new song. Every mix, every radio (no matter what song/artist/genre I start from), this song shows up and I'm f*cking sick of it. I pay for this service and for what? To be constantly annoyed and distracted by this song I can't stand. I skip it every time it comes on within seconds so why does the program think I want to listen to it?

I saw another question that someone recently posted asking the same thing. As they said if Spotify is doing this because they get more money from the artist contracts than the subscription fees, that's incredibly short sighted of your team and it's going to lose your audience. I only started using Spotify because it was *slightly* better (radio wise) than Pandora but this is pissing me off enough that I'd honestly rather just listen to music on Youtube.

Hi there!

You can hide songs on the mobile app to prevent them from being played. Just go to a song and tap on the three dots > Hide this song. The track will become greyed out and will be skipped in playlists, albums, artist pages and radios. You can hide it entirely by turning off Show unplayable songs in the app's settings.

Hope this clears things up. Cheers!

I cannot find "Hide this Song" on the desktop app for Windows or my mobile app for iOS. Was this option removed? I'm severely triggered by some music and have been trying to hide the albums/songs as spotify suggests them. Today, the option doesn't seem to be available.
