Left side frame will not allow me to adjust it wide enough

Currently I am only able to drag the desktop's left side frame to a width which is not wide enough for me to read all of the text in my Playlists. I would like to be able to drag it further towards the right. I turned off the Activity frame on the right, hoping it would then allow me to drag the left frame further towards the right, but no luck. 

Is there any trick which could allow me to drag the left frame out more ? If not, are there any plans to allow us to do so ?

Unfortunately I don't think there is a way around this at the minute, it will only let you make it as big as the search bar.
