My Question or Issue

I have downloaded several albums, everything worked fine when playing them offline until today, when I select them they stay on the loading screen indefinitely and I can't access them. The downloaded playlists are playing offline which I don't understand.
I tried several things, delete some albums in case I had exceeded the limit of 10,000 songs, deleted playlist, restarted the application, downloaded them again and everything is still the same.

Hey @PollyValtari,

Thanks for reaching out via the Community and welcome to the forum!

It's great that you've already performed some troubleshooting steps, this really helps us with investigating the situation. Can you let us know if you noticed when this behavior started and if it was after something specific (such as an update for example)? Additionally, let us know if the same behavior persists across devices.

As far as I understand, the albums play in Offline Mode, but don't load. Can you confirm?

If you've not done this already, I recommend a clean reinstall of Spotify which is more detailed and helps remove cache which can cause issues when it's corrupted.

After the reinstall, you'd have to re-download your content. To test if this is a network issue for example, if it's possible download the albums using another internet connection this time (for example mobile data shared via hotspot).

Lastly, it's worth mentioning that we've got a thread under investigation where other users are experiencing something similar and you can check it out here.

Appreciate the cooperation and we'll be on the lookout for your response.

That's right, it doesn't load the downloaded albums in offline playback, I already tried to reinstall and delete, but it still happens, the only way I can play the downloaded music is by adding them to custom lists, these do load offline. I didn't notice anything weird the day it happened, I just downloaded other albums and the next day they didn't work anymore, I thought it was too many songs but it keeps happening even if I reinstall everything.

Hey @PollyValtari,

Thanks for your reply.

We've tested this on our end, but the results varied. To investigate this further, can you please share your exact Spotify app version?

In the meantime, try playing a downloaded playlist before attempting to open the album. I was able to reproduce your issue, but after doing this, the album started loading fine.

Keep us posted.
