My Question or Issue
All albums and playlists have no more track numbers with no exceptions, but the icon for it is still there with the other sorting options, I'm trying to figure out if this is a bug or just an annoying design change, other posts and general solutions have not worked. If this is a design change, I would love for it to be reverted, as these numbers help me remember where things are in long playlists.
Solved! Go to Solution.
After trying more things, I discovered it was tied to an issue I have been having since updating to Windows 11. Spotify thought touch mode was enabled, it is Windows fault.

My Question or Issue
Instead of a number for the song, I get a play button. I've read in other threads it's expected behaviour with mixed content, but this happens on ALL playlists in Windows 11. Even new playlist with only one song, so that's obviously not it. On my PC with windows 10, the numbers behave normally. A reinstall didn't fix it.

Unsolved. The fix in this thread did not work for me.
Hi there @Cpt_Hightower,
Thanks for reaching out!
Can you check if the same thing happens in the Web player? Could you also try running the app in compatibility mode for Windows 10, since you mentioned this doesn't happen on your PC running this version? Here's how:
Let us know how it goes.
It behaves the same in the web player. Compatibility mode didn't fix it. Also, Spotify.exe wasn't located where you stated in your instructions but in C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Spotify.
Hey @Cpt_Hightower,
Thanks for checking!
It's true that some machines save the .exe in a different directory - we appreciate you taking the time to find it and conduct the test! With the info we have now it seems like the issue is caused by your device. We are not able to replicate this on our end and since it's happening both in the app and Web player, we can conclude something in your particular set up is the reson the numbers aren't popping up.
What we can suggest is checking your audio drivers, try starting your PC in safe mode and checking if anything is blocking Spotify from your Firewall or antivirus programs.
Hope this clears things up.
Thank you! I will check with the support forum for my device and see if I get more luck there.
