Plays random song in middle of podcast, plays by itself when paused

My Question or Issue

Spotify desktop app keeps playing a random song when I am listening to a podcast. After a few mins of listening it just switches to a song I have never heard of and starts playing it. I keep having to find my episode of the podcast and go back in and it happens again after 3 or 4 mins. Also if I leave my spotify paused it starts playing a random song by itself after a few minutes. 

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it is unusable at the moment.
