My Question or Issue

Some of the advertisement banners in the app are not displayed at all, but an "Access Denied" text and a long random string of characters instead. The text is black on dark grey background.

Not that I would be interested in seeing the ads, I'm just worried that the artists I listen to won't get paid. 🙂

Hi there @Ksenom_O,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide us the following:

  • Is this on all devices or only on specific one(s)? How about the webplayer?
  • When did this start happening?
  • What models are the affected devices? What Spotify Versions are you using?
  • Screenshots or a video of the behaviour

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.

Keep us posted.

Here's the requested information.

  1. I use Spotify only on my laptop. The web player seems to be working OK.
  2. This started happening a few weeks ago already.
  3. The model of the affected device is: HP 255 G1 Notebook PC. I am using version: Spotify – Windows (64-bit) 1.2.15.828.g79f41970
  4. Screenshot of the banner on the app is attached.

As I mentioned earlier, it's black text on dark grey background, so it may be difficult to see.

Hey @Ksenom_O,

Thanks for getting back to us with this info.

To make sure this isn't a localized issue, can you please run a clean reinstall of the app, check your hosts file and try using a different internet connection (like a hotspot on your phone)?

Let us know how it goes.
