Spotify app(Windows) won't play sound on my Airpods

Hello,

For some reason Spotify app won't play sound on my Airpods even though they are connected. Web player is working, everything else working, it just won't play sound in the app. It is not a problem with headphones. Also, app is updated, already reinstalled twice, headphones ARE set as default, volume mixer won't help because Spotify plays music on Laptop's speakers. There was a similar problem that was 'solved' but it did not help me.

While your Airpods might be set as the default device, it's possible that the audio output device for Spotify is still set to your laptop's speakers instead. Here's how to change that:

1. Right-click on the "speaker" icon in the system tray and select Open Sound settings.
2. Scroll down to Advanced sound settings located at the bottom and select App volume and device preferences.
3. Locate Spotify in the list of apps and change the output device to your Airpods.
