Spotify desktop app thinks I'm in another country

Whenever I try to login to my account on the desktop app, it says "Your country does not match the one set in your profile... Error code: 408". I checked both my spotify profile and laptop settings and all are set to Australia which is where I am. How do I fix this?

Hello!

Do you use VPNs? Usually Error 408 is when you are logged in abroad.

If you are not using any VPN, best bet would be to use one that belongs to Australia to see if it gives you the same error.

Nah I don't use a VPN, not really sure what that is

VPN stand for Virtual Private Network, try googling how to connect to one from Australia and see if Spotify still has the same issue.
