Suddenly, when I went into my Spotify web player today, the controls were all greyed out. So I went to my app on my Samsung Galaxy S8 and it doesn't show Web Player being a device. My Web Player doesn't show any of my devices either (including itself). How can I fix this?

Exact same problem on web browser, windows PC grey out spotify won't play both on Firefox and Chrome browsers, also have PS4 and playlist is blank on dashboard and gives erroe when PS4 Spotify app is started.

Sorry to hear about this.
I think there is a current issue at Spotify.
On my end the Web Player and TV apps aren't working at the moment and might be also affecting Connect.
Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Same problem for me. I can listen on my iPhone but not on my google home system or web browser. Tried troubleshooting and nothing has worked. It's not showing any devices in the web browser but on my phone it lists all my devices (except the web browser) but will not connect to any of them.

It's nice to know I'm not going crazy. Spotify, please fix!
All fixed on my end.
On the spotify web player, my play button (all the controls at the button) are greyed out. When I click to play a song, it doesn't play. I can play music on the Desktop app just fine, but not on the web player. I tried incognito mode, also tried doing Shift+F5, tried logging out and back in, but not fixed. This issue only appeared today. So I don't think it's fixed for everyone yet.
I tried it also on Firefox and it doesn't work =(((( Please, why?
