Spotify window never shows

Solved!

Spotify window never shows

I'm on Windows 10. Whenever I start Spotify, nothing shows up, but if I go into Task Manager it shows the process running and using 20-25% CPU. I let it go and nothing happens. I tried to uninstall (after ensuring I killed all Spotify processes) to then re-install, but in the control panel when I choose to uninstall the program, it just starts another Spotify process that doesn't do anything.

I tried reinstalling directly over top of my existing one and that doesn't do anything.

Hi @gummybearcs, welcome to the community!

This has been a bug going around spotify lately. To solve this bug run a clean reinstall:

Go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Spotify

Delete everything there.

Go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Spotify

Delete everything there as well.

Now install spotify and it should work

If this does not work there are a few articles that may help you.Screenshot_26.png
