Spotify windows app skipping music

Ive been using spotify premium for almost a year now and one of the most annoying thing i have experienced till now is that whenever i launch the spotify desktop app and starts playing music, it skips a few seconds into the song. I have to click on the previous song button almost all the time and its really annoying........I hope you fix it.

To troubleshoot this issue, try the following:

• Clean reinstall the app.
• Check if the same happens in the web player.
• Check your hosts file.
• Enable/disable Crossfade in the app's settings.
