Spotify won't play Windows 11 browser

Solved!

Spotify won't play Windows 11 browser

I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I cannot play anything. When i click on a song or playlist it won't even say that I clicked on it. It doesnt read that i clicked play at all. I can add songs to the queue, make a new playlist etc. and it will even play the song that its currently stuck on but i cant change it or the playlist.

I figured out the cause of my problems. My microphone (AT2020USB+) causes some issues on the audio side I guess. It was messing with my Google Chrome browser, not letting me move tabs. It was messing with my audio center, just leaving it on the screen when any media was playing. It was also messing with my spotify: skipping dozens of songs at once, not letting me play or pause, not allowing me to switch playlists, etc. Thank you for the help, though!

Hey there @uncertainsnail

Thanks for reaching out about this and welcome to the Community.

Just to confirm, is this happening on the web player or on the desktop app? If this happens on the web player, could you check if you can replicate this behavior on a different browser?

On another note, it's worth checking if the same happens while connected to a different internet connection. Also, if you're using any VPNs we suggest that you turn it off since it can affect the app's performance.

We'll be on the lookout.

Holy **bleep** I've been trying to fix this for months. I've tried deleting the hosts file, I've tried installing the Windows store/non-Windows store Spotify app, **bleep** I've tried a windows reinstall.

All I had to do was unplug my mic and plug it back in. Jesus Christ. Thank you so much!
