My Question or Issue

When I use spotify on desktop the streams arent tracked and added to my top artists and top songs of the month. I have had this problem for over a month and its really frustrating.

HI @Yooan,

Thanks for reaching out.

Are you using some sort of third-party to count streams which isn't updating? Or do you mean that the top artists/songs isn't updating? Is this the same across all devices or is only the desktop app affected? What about the webplayer? If you could send us some screenshots of what you mean, that would help as well.

Let us know how it goes.

No I mean the top artists/songs on the actual spotify app isnt updating. Ive had certain songs on repeat while im on my pc studying for days but theyre not anywhere to be seen on my top songs. I tested it wasnt just a server problem because I played a song on repeat from my phone and it tracked it fine so its just a problem on my pc.

Thanks for the response @Yooan.

In this case, it's worth logging out > back in twice in a row to resync your account and PC. If that doesn't do the trick then you can go a step further and give Spotify a clean reinstall. It often helps resolve different performance issues and you can follow the steps here.

Lastly, if these steps don't make a difference, let us know when this started happening for the first time and it'd be great if you could send us some screenshots both from the phone and PC so we can take a look at how things look like from your end. You can attach them via the Insert Image option in the post editor.

Hope to hear from you soon 🙂
