Stop desktop version linking to iPhone

Stop desktop version linking to iPhone

When I'm at the gym, I listen to Spotify on my iPhone.

When home, I prefer to listen to Spotify on my Windows PC. I like that Spotify appears to continue where you left at a song even after it's been shut down.

Problem is, when I get home to listen on PC, it picks up where I left off on my iPhone. I don't want this; I want to continue listening where I left off on my PC, which is a completely different playlist.

Is it possible to stop this from happening?

Thanks.

Hey @Jenjam,

Thanks for reaching out.

What you're seeing is expected behavior since the app tries to sync the playback across all your logged devices. We appreciate your feedback however and we've made sure to forward it to the relevant team at Spotify.

Cheers,

Thanks, for the reply, MihailY. That's very disappointing, as it's so frustrating for those who want to separate their listening on their devices.

Hopefully the team will take this on board. I can't be the only one who finds this incredibly annoying.

Thanks
