My Question or Issue

Spotify Webplayer blanking out

This issue has been prominent since I've gotten premium. I tried clearing all of my spotify cookies, cache and browsing history. I also went into incognito and the same thing happened without any chrome extensions. I don't know what else to do, help. (Also the image attached is an example of how much of the screen gets blank sometimes.)

Hi there @Klips,

Thanks for reaching out. Does this happen across many devices or only one? Try some other devices if you haven't. Could you please also send us a screen recording showcasing the exact behaviour so we can take a closer look. If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.

Keep us posted.

This is also happening to me! Getting this message and cannot login to the web version in chrome, microsoft edge or incognito window. A box comes up saying "something went wrong. try reloading page" but when I reload or refresh nothing happens. I cleared my cookies, reset settings, restarted...nothing seems to work.

Hey @rosesmith007,

Thank you for your reply in this thread.

Would you mind giving this a try in a different browser? For example, if you normally use Google Chrome and Edge, try with Mozilla/ Opera this time. You can find more info about supported browsers here.

If you're still experiencing this on the web app, we'd suggest checking out this FAQ and following the recommended steps.

Let us know how it goes. We'll be keeping an eye out for you reply.

Only have found it happening on the google web browser, haven't tested it on a different computer or browser. Obviously doesn't happen on mobile. (I would send a screen recording but it seems after clearing all my cookies its much more infrequent and only effects a tiny part of the web browser screen) (part of web browser screen linked below)

Hi there @Klips

Thanks for getting back to us.

In this case, could you check if the same happens on a different browser?

On another note, are you using any VPNs? If so, we suggest that you turn it off since it can affect the app's performance. Additionally, we'd recommend checking your firewall and making sure Spotify is set as an exception.

We'll be on the lookout.
