[Windows] Desktop client "This song is not available..."

Greetings,

Getting a "This song is not available. If you have the file on your computer you can import it." message with nearly every song played on a Windows 7 PC. Started getting the message after an update this afternoon was installed. Subsequently reinstalled Spotify multiple times, rebooted computer after the last attempt prior to reinstall. I've also tried to deselect the default sound device (as was suggested in a post I found from February), have disabled all local folders, selected to only play high quality streaming, and disabled hardware acceleration. All options have not worked.

As a side note, I'm able to stream songs fine on my telephone, and even attempted to cross stream them onto my PC, but it forced the app to crash as soon as the option to stream on the PC was selected. I feel I've spent way too much time on a product for which I pay a monthly subscription.

I am also Windows 7 - will not play any song.  Works on my phone.  

Spotify is too expensive for it to go down when you need it!
