friend activity isnt working even though setting is toggled

when i wanted to use Friend Activity it asked my to turn on 'Share my listening activity on Spotify', but when i checked the settings it is already toggled. I toggled it off and on again but Friend Activity still doesnt work.

What I'd suggest in your situation is to perform a complete clean reinstall of the app to see if that would make a difference.
This will ensure there are no leftover files on your device from previous Spotify installations that may be interfering with the app functionality.

If that doesn't work, I'd highly recommend updating it to the latest version that you can get and check if you'll experience the same. Spotify always works on improving the user's experience and they advise that you keep both your OS and your Spotify up to date with the latest version so that you don't miss out on any fixes.

I have already turned on "Share my listening activity on Spotify" but the side window still asks me to do it.

My friend activity tab only shows that I should turn on show my listening activity when it has always been on and Ive always been able to see what my friends are listening to and now it is not showing up. When I try to go to my profile and check my followers, it either doesn't load or shows an error.
