mercury.db and "Browser" folder in Spotify's AppData folder

mercury.db and "Browser" folder in Spotify's AppData folder

I'm currently cleaning out my AppData folder and I found the above-mentioned items in Spotify's folder. They each take up about 100 MB, so I'm wondering what they do and whether I can delete them or not. I've already redirected my Spotify Cache to a different partition, so that's not it.

For clarification, those are the file paths for each item:

C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Spotify\mercury.db

C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Spotify\Browser

Thanks for any help.

Pretty sure mercury.db is your playlist data (or some other track/artist data) and the Browser folder contains the files for the internal web apps including Discover and things like that 😉

Thanks. I'm still not quite sure whether they can be safely deleted, but I guess I'll leave them for now.
