My Question or Issue

Hi All,

First time posting, I did have a look to see if the question had already been asked but it's entirely possible I'm searching for the wrong thing! I am currently creating a music website for local bands to be matched with venues and promoters etc. One of the key elements is to get their music out there so I want to make sure they have space to link up various places people can find their music, such as Spotify.

Something I thought of that I'm not sure if it's possible would be to notify people when an artist releases new music. Spotify does this automatically but I wanted to give my users the ability to get notified within my system when an artist releases something new. Is there a way I can do this or has anybody attempted this and have any suggestions? They'd be greatly appreciated.
