Album folders

Playlists can be organized in folders, albums can't.

Please give us possibility to create folders for albums!

Spotify user since 2015. Love how it's changed since then.

I do have a suggestion though: Make it possible to add an album to a folder.

This way I could have a folder for a particular "mood" that is a combination of playlists and albums. As it is now, if I want to listen to chill music, I have to either play a playlist that I or someone else has made that has chill music, or think of an album that is chill. If albums could be added to folders, I could add multiple chill playlists and albums to the folder, and when I am in the mood, I can just open the folder and have the option of both playlists or albums.

I know that as it is, you can technically make a playlist with all the songs in a particular album, but it feels like a weird workaround, and can be cumbersome.

Would love to see this happen!

The addition of folders for playlists is great and helps people easily find what they want to listen to at that time, however, I feel like the addition of a folders  feature for albums would help split albums by genre and would be a very appreciated addition.

At the moment, to save an album to an organisable collection, you need to create a playlist for the album. Otherwise you have a long randomly sorted list of albums which is not nice to look for an album to listen to in.

If you could add saved albums into folders it would remove the need to create an entire playlist for each album you want to organise into your collection.

In particular, with classical music it is much more useful to organize a collection by whole albums rather than by individual tracks. To go a little further with this suggestion, it would be very helpful to have multiple levels of subfolders to be able to effectively organize a collection. E.g., 'classical -> mozart -> symphonies' and 'classical -> mozart -> operas.' I like this suggestion to have folders in the library, and I would add that I've wanted to be able to use subfolders to organize playlists for a long time.

Hello! 

As to a former Radio Dj, not just songs or playlists (as collections of my songs), I have the Albums as such to care about. So, in Spotify we have plenty of good options for working with songs or playlists, and yet (what I found a bit frustrating from the side of my Radio Dj history) we have almost nothing in context of Albums: we can like those, search those, make playlists using some of those - and that's it. 

So, my first suggestion: adding folders as option into Albums section so we could make different folders and group into those separately some different albums, even including the same albums into different folders (yet with different context and musical reason). So for instance, in folder "Albums, EPs etc" I would collect all the albums, maybe grouping it with some subfolders inside like "A-E", "F-I", etc. Another folder could for me be "Christmas songs" with some selection of my albums for that occasion. Then, for instance something like "Electronica" and important albums from my library for that style. You understand now: the thing is to have here made - easy to use selection of albums, grouped and then played logically and simply. 

What do you guys think? Would it be good idea? I say, this one would really make me happy! 🙂

this would be great for those of us who primarily listen to music as full albums rather than playlists! clearly spotify knows we exist, since my wrapped had a "hypnotist" classification for playing albums all the way through haha. sometimes i just want to quickly find albums that match the vibe i want rather than scrolling through my whole library!

Oh yeah, that's a great idea because every time I create a folder for a series of albums I have to create playlists that repeat the contents of the album. 🤔

I suggest that we should be able to compile whole albums together, like a Pinterest board. I've noticed that albums I really love get lost in my huge collection of saved albums, and the 3 pins at the top arent enough for me. This is why I'd love to be able to put albums I dont want to forget in a seperate folder so I can find them easily. Also having folders for happy albums, sad albums et cetera would be so useful, since now the only easy way to find music that fits the mood is by playlists, but somtimes I just want to listen to a happy album and be able to find it easily!! Overall I think the Spotify library would benefit from being more chatagorized, like on Pinterest.
