Automatically add new podcast episodes to Playlist

You can currently able to add specific podcast episodes to a playlist. However you should be able to send it so that all new episodes of a particular show will be automatically added to this playlist.

For example, if I have a playlist of all the sports related shows I like, I would identify the shows To be added to this playlist, and then every time a new episode comes out it automatically updates on the playlist

Why is this not already a thing? iTunes has had smart playlists for a decade (or maybe longer) where you could set it up to do exactly this. I was hoping to do everything in Spotify, but I guess I'll go look at Stitcher now.

I agree. I listen to a lot of NPR. It would be GREAT to have a playlist where you can list the "shows" and have the most recent episodes auto-update as new ones become available. This type of playlist seems like a common sense feature to make available.

This would be a great feature. 

I'd find it very useful if the new podcast episodes of podcasts I subscribe to were automatically added to my podcast drive playlist. Rather than having to sit down and sort out what I want to listen to before setting off.

This is disturbing that it is still not an option in some way shape or form. I plan on leaving for a different podcast streaming tool soon... It is exhausting having to click through to each of my daily podcasts when I have already followed them all.

It would be very helpful, I am trying to set my alarm to play my news podcasts when I wake up. The fact that I can't update my playlist automatically prevents this.

This type of functionality for podcasts is needed when using google assistant to play your podcasts with the latest episodes since it uses playlists.

I especially love to divide my podcasts by days, not necessarily by when
they were released. Without this feature, I have to keep scrolling down the
new episodes on Thursday to find a podcast that is released on Monday.
