Redeeming Spotify Gift Cards for their dollar value on any account

#1. Typically isn't how gift cards work is you get the dollar value of the gift card to use at a company (Spotify in this case) and not only for a specific individual premium plan. 

#2 The way you sell the gift cards is confusing because you sell the gift cards in dollar values.

#3 The fact that you have a support article on gift cards that has to explain what it is good for should tell you how confusing it is and that there is a meaningful number of your customers that were confused (including me)

#4 It's not easy to get gift cards returned or money refunded. Generally speaking the place selling the card doesn't care, they are just selling a gift card and provide no assistance and feel no responsibility in these situations.

#5 With the work around being to cancel my premium family account to subscribe to a premium individual plan means you are losing revenue, you are losing potential customers (members) and potentially losing the primary member because this really sucks and it's a pain in the **bleep** to work around and get this done.

Having the same issue now it’s really unfortunate. 

I was verified for a student account and of course the gift card is only used for the value of an individual premium account so it’s only six months when in reality it should be about 10 months with the student account
