Swap Explicit Songs for Clean Versions When My Kids Are Listening

I primarily listen to hip-hop music, but as a parent, I often enable the "No Explicit Content" setting to make sure my kids don’t hear certain words. However, when I turn this setting on, many of my playlists become nearly empty because explicit songs are simply removed.

Instead of removing explicit songs entirely, I suggest that Spotify automatically find and play the clean (radio-friendly) versions of those songs when available. Many artists release both explicit and clean versions, so this would be a great way to keep playlists intact while maintaining a family-friendly listening experience.

This feature would benefit parents, teachers, and anyone who wants to enjoy their favorite playlists without losing access to a large portion of their music.

Would love to hear if others feel the same way—please vote if you’d find this useful!

There should be an option when one clicks the 3 dots to “substitute in clean songs”… or “Scrub The Songs Clean”… and it automatically swaps in the clean versions rather than just blocking the Explicit ones from playing.  Otherwise we cannot trust the Smart Shuffle to not throw in an explicit song.
