Share cathartic songs that you like

Out of all the songs in your Spotify library, is there any track that stands out because it evokes strong emotions when you listen to it? Perhaps it’s even just a certain section of the song that you find to sound particularly cathartic.

If so, feel free to share a link to the song (there’s info here about how to do that), as well as to mention why you think the song has a strong emotional quality.

For me, one example that comes to mind is “The Gate of Ishtar” by the stoner metal band Stones Of Babylon, from Lisbon, Portugal:

In particular, the last minute-and-a-half or so of the track seems to connect with me strongly on an emotional level. The song takes the momentum from the first seven minutes or so (which generally follows the same theme, with varying degrees of distortion), and uses it to then shift the energy of the track into a new theme in which the lead guitar melodies—heavily fuzzed and later further altered by the use of a wah pedal—manage to sound to me simultaneously uplifting, wistful, and majestic. I think it’s the perfect conclusion to this epic track!
