Why hasn’t 10x been banned from Spotify yet?

Why hasn’t 10x been banned from Spotify yet?

Hey everyone,

I’ve noticed that this artist "10X" has uploaded tons of slowed-down versions of songs on Spotify, like tracks from Artemas and a bunch of others. The thing is, he barely changes the songs—basically just slows them down. I always thought you needed permission or licenses for that kind of thing, because it’s not really a cover, just a slowed version of the original track.

So, my questions are:

  • Does 10x actually have the rights or permission for all these tracks?
  • If not, how come he hasn’t been banned yet?

Also, please don’t hate on me for using AI to help write this post. English isn’t my first language, and using AI just makes it easier for me to get my point across more clearly. I really appreciate any help or insights you can offer—thanks a lot!

I’d love to hear if anyone else has noticed this or knows more about how it works. Maybe someone from the Spotify team could weigh in too?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Hello!

Thank you for sharing your concern. As Star, I cannot directly confirm if this artist has a specific license for the mentioned content.

However, if you have suspicions about tracks that may violate rights, you can report them directly to the Spotify Customer Support team, who is available to help.

If you know the artist or rights holder, they can also send a report directly to our team through this dedicated form (only for rights holders).

At the moment, I have no more information on the subject, but I'm here to help in any way possible.

Keep me informed!

Cheers,

Ribezaz
