I just came across your post.  Have you heard Brent Shuttleworth's new record called "Feels Like Flying"?  It is not necessarily country I guess but it was recorded in Nashville and is dripping in some of the coolest pedal steel I've heard.  It's worth checking out.  Take care.-Mike
