According to Wikipedia:
Drone music, drone-based music, or simply drone, is a subgenre of minimal music that emphasizes the use of sustained or repeated sounds, notes, or tone-clusters – called drones. It is typically characterized by lengthy audio programs with relatively slight harmonic variations throughout each piece.
I’m interés in understand this genre, constantly find people to talk about it but is not clear for me, so if any one knows bands that are playing actually this kind of music I’ll like to know more about them.
Find one Vibrachatedral Orchestra and their last released album titled Rec Blast Motorbike in Spotify is from 2015 but their most streaming song is from this album Joka Baya with the song A Mirrored Pyramid (for JS)

Cool thread, @Jpgchief!
A few drone bands that I like include Earth, Kungens Män, OM, Ufomammut, and Wooden Shjips. You’re probably already familiar with these artists; however, I thought I’d share a favorite track of theirs from my library, in case you're interested in listening to them:

Thanks @AdamDamon I'm familiar with Earth (love their last year album Full Upon Her Burning Lips), Kunges Man (have a thread about their newest album here New Album by Kungens Man "Trappmusik" ), and Wooden Shjips only familiar with the album V.
For the rest, I have to listen to them.
Cheers!!!
Drone thread with no-one mentioning Sunn O))) 😄
The droniest thing I've listened to is an Odd Nosdam's album called Music for Raising. It's sort of a heavy reverb-drony album and it begins with a blast:

It's probably not as minimal as some others are. : )
That first track is a spiritual experience almost.
Wow, thanks @Sebasty Sunn O))) definitely familiar with them great example, and Odd Nosdam is a nice discover for me (I never heard of this artist before) you’re right about the first track and find out he has a new album called Home released this month!!!

I’m about to listen to thanks once again.
Cheers!!!
