I can't log into my Spotify account I have an account attached to my email so I can't create a new account and I can't reset my password help please

I had a premium spotify account my cell phone provider provides a plan with premium spotify included. When I signed for this plan they suggested that I cancel my premium and sign back in and my account will work as advertised included in my wireless plan. When I tried to sign it keeps saying either username or password incorrect. I've tried the forgot password option and tried making a new password and it still won't allow me to log on
