Change to the new web player

Change to the new web player

Recently Spotify made a new design to the web player. At first I disliked it, but I realized I could control music from a different device without prime. Then I logged in one day and it was back to the old layout and I couldn't control it remotly anymore. How do I get back the ability to control remotley. I don't care if I change to the new layout or not, I just want to control my music.

Have you tried using the Connect feature from the desktop app yet?

I don't have any desktops that can have spotify installed. The connect feature did work for about a week.

What device are you using to access the web player then?

I have a chromebook and a laptop with openSUSE. Why would this just stop working all of a sudden?

Can you please provide a little bit more info about this issue?

2 weeks ago, on my chromebook, the player switched to the new layout. Then last week it all switched back to the old player. I use a chromebook, android phone, and a laptop with openSUSE 42.2 64bit with Firefox. Anything else?

Spotify is still making some improvements to the new web player. Hopefully you'll be able to see the new web player again soon.
