Closing automatic after skipping a few songs?

Closing automatic after skipping a few songs?

I was listening to music and decided to skip a song and the app closed on it's own. It hasn't been the same since and it keeps happening. I have reinstalled it and clear my cache. I tried fixing it but after I skip one song it crashes or something. Suggestions anyone?

Hey there @Gisi32,

Thanks for the post.

Is this happening on your phone or PC? If it's happening on your phone, is it only when you skip from the lock-screen widget or when the app is open as well?

Looking forward to your reply.

I am currently experiencing this exact issue on while listening on my PC. If I hit play it closes, or sometimes, when it stays open, when I skip 1 o 2 songs, it closes.

Hey @MrGabos & @Gisi32,

Can you confirm this is still a valid issue on your end :?
If it is so, let us know what devices this is occurring on, as well as their OS and your Spotify app version.
Thanks a lot!

We'll be on the lookout for your response 🙂

This is happening to me too. I'm on PC (Windows 11). After skipping a few songs the program automatically closes. My spotify version is:

Spotify for Windows
1.1.87.612.gf8d110e2

Hey @Novum-Semita,

Thanks for sharing the details.

Have you already tried performing a clean reinstall of the app as described on this page? Also make sure to use the Microsoft Store version of the app.

Does the issue occur, if you run Spotify as an administrator in compatibility mode with Windows 10?

We'd also need a short screen recording of the actions leading to the crash and the actual crash.

Keep us posted,

Cheers!
