Echo Show's new UI is too cluttered

The Spotify now playing UI on my Echo Show 8 is too cluttered after a recent update due to the addition of the the playback controls (previous , play, next) on the same row as the seeker bar.

Plus when you click the down arrow it just shows the shuffle and repeat buttons in a corner (where the playback controls used to be). On top of that the suggested albums at the bottom take up too much space, and I never use them, is there an option to turn it off?
