How to allow explicit songs? It won't show up.

I went to settings to enable explicit songs but there is no option. I am not restricted by parental controls. I am using desktop and use the free version of spotify,.

Since you mentioned you have issues while locating the Explicit content filter, keep in mind you should be able to enable/disable it by following the steps in this article. If perhaps you can't find it on the mobile device or desktop app, then it'd be really helpful if you could send us a screenshot so we can investigate further.

On another note, keep in mind that it's expected not to see the filter in the web player. Another user had a similar request, so they posted this idea about it:
