How to stop playing Spotify background by Bluetooth in car

IPhone X, Car - VW, When I chose to play music by any different source, it not working, but still playing Spotify, and App is closed.

Have you checked if this only happens when playing via Bluetooth to your car? Could you check if it happens with any other Bluetooth device? Maybe a speaker or headphones.

If it only happens in your car, try to unpair/forget the device and then connect it again to check if that makes a difference. You can also try clearing the Spotify app's cache by going to Settings > Storage > Clear cache. Then restart the app and try again. If nothing changes, then it's best to clean reinstall the app with these steps.

Lastly, could you check if it happens with any other app? Try playing something from the music app on your phone or maybe YouTube and check if you have the same issue.
