How to turn on private listening when using Spotify on Amazon echo?

Calming music I listen to at night is ruining my Spotify algorithm for recommendations and playlists.. How do I turn on Private Listening when listening to music from Spotify on Amazon Echo? This has been raised some two years ago by others… has it been resolved now and what are the steps to do this?

Thanks for checking this on the forum.

We don't have the option for Private session on devices different than desktop and mobile yet, but I can suggest something else that might help you instead.

We have the option to exclude certain playlists from the taste profile of a user. You can exclude playlists you aren't interested in showing up in Wrapped and overall recommendations so that when you play them, the app won't take them into account for future suggestions:

1. Open the playlist and tap the three dots menu (right-click if you're on desktop).
2. Select Exclude from taste profile.
