Is Duo functional? Seems like a would be better with two seepeate accounts

Spotify duo won't let both accounts listen to separate songs at the same time.

My partner and I head out at similar times and both listen to music or podcasts when driving.

Problem is, when she heads off to work its starts belting Disney classics from my car as well as hers and if I change back to mine it stops her listening and forces her to listen to mine

Ultimately duo only seems worth it when we are together, might as well have a single account and log in and out if one person wants to use it? I don't see the point in duo unless there is an issue and it shouldn't work like it does

Sounds like you both are logged in to the same account. With Premium Duo, each user gets their own account with their own login details. I recommend you both sign out from the app, then log in again using your personal email address/password combinations.
