It keeps switching to another song/list after I play a song

Giving an example to better explain. I open Spotify, search for Iron Maiden, land on their main page, click on a song that I'd like to play, it plays, then it switches to some other artist/playlist/song that I was playing on another device before. I would expect it to keep playing Iron Maiden songs. This wasn't like this before. How do I fix this? It is annoying.

To start with, can you make sure that you're not using Shuffle mode?

On another note, can you let us know your device + OS? It would also be great if you can let us know if this occurs on one specific device or multiple devices?

Well, sometimes I shuffle, and sometimes I don't. That doesn't mean I want Spotify to play a song on a different playlist after playing the song I chose. If I search for Iron Maiden for example and click the topmost song on that list that comes up, I guess it is pretty obvious that I want Spotify to continue playing Iron Maiden. This was the behavior for a long time. It suddenly got changed and it is very annoying.

This is happening everywhere. On my Android phone, desktop apps on Mac, Linux, and PC. Even on when I use it on my Google Home devices at home.

Thank you for your reply and for your clarification. 

As a next step, can yo provide us a recording of when you enter Spotify starts to play a song and then fast forward to the end so we can see what happens when you skip the song.

In the meantime, can you have someone log in with their account on one of your devices - such as a friend or a family member to see if the issue persists?

I'll try but I don't know if I can. This info should be enough for your software engineers to reproduce the issue. I am sorry, I don't really have time to debug stuff for Spotify.
