It plays for maybe 2 songs and on the 3rd it just stops?

Have you already tried performing a clean reinstall of the app? This is often an overlooked step, but it can be helpful to get rid of any corrupted files that might be causing issues. 

If this doesn't do the trick, you could try logging in to your account using a different device to see if you can replicate this behavior.

Also, let us know the make, model, OS version and the Spotify version currently running on your device.
