The app is currently available on the 7,8 and 9 series. We hope for 6 series support after the next smart TV firmware update.

there was a firmware update on oct 25th: 29.0 firmware

but the app is still not running - so waiting for next update?

Unfortunately, it looks like you have a D-series Smart TV. At the moment, only E-series is supported. I don't have any information as to whether earlier models will be supported in the future, I'm afraid.

Im from sweden and i have the TV Samsung UE46ES6715. I have downloadet the latest firmware 29, but i still saying that my device dont support....???

I got the same issue,  TV Samsung UE46ES6715, with the latest firmware 29. 

The app said that my firmware wasnt supported and now i cant even find the app in Smart HUB.

When i check on the swedish samsung site it says that only 7,8 and 9 series is supported atm but that they will also support all the E-series from 2012 "soon".

Samsung has the correct information. Apologies for any disappointment, and that I missed this particular thread when I posted a clarification a couple of days ago. Yes. The plan is for 5 and 6 support soon (within the month, I'm hoping). Subscribe to the post on the subject for news.

I have a samsung smart tv but I am not sure what the point having it have an app if you dont support every tv because people are not sure what tv on what at the moment I think it time to put on any tv no matter what update version it is I mean we can watch netflix and lovefilm on any tv why not streaming music this gives me reasons to move elseware and second heck why does it take so long to get it on evey tv you got it on virgin media (tivo) and slow a buggy at time but at least it does the job play what i pay for heck if you really want spotify you live in the uk not sure what tv on what get off sky and move to virgin media if you want spotify on any tv i ve got it it does the trick?.

Hi everybody and Happy New 2013!

I have a Samsung Smart-TV E, series 6 from 2012. I have tried to find out when the device is getting the firmware needed for Spotify. My Spotify acco is a Premium. On the Internet I find the info that Spotify is avalialble on the series 7,8 and 9 and that it will be available also on series 6. But there is no indication anywhere of when this will happen. Could somebody give some more precise info of when this will happen, not just a hint that it will happen soon??? Cirio, S.

If u have latest firmware( 1030+) and still cant find then this solution is for you:

Just change for United Kingdom and voila.

Only problem is with locally installed apps, they will be gone after TV reboot.

And changing back to previous location Spotify app will be gone.

Best solution is to have app in zip file but I havent find it yet in web, if someone have please share

Do you have any information at all when the Spotify app will be avaible for the D-Series? More specifik, UE46D8000?

Changing the region seems to work just fine.  Havent had ang issues with any other apps and i am running fw 1025 so dont even have to be on 1030.

This is quite disappointing. I have a D8000 which is a 3D plasma TV that is capable of playing 3D movies from the internet or high definition Foxtel cable TV channel over the internet, yet Spotify application is not supported.

Looking forward to see Spotify application included on all capable hardware models. I am assuming that porting Spotify application to D-series does not require a complete re-write of the application as there are many internet radio and IP-TV applications compatible across D and E series.
