Samsung older than 2015 NO SPOTIFY

The Spotify app on my Samsung Smart TV 2014 is no longer available from today September 1st. Use on TV was the main reason for my premium subscription. Are you planning to re-establish the app for these models before 2015? If not, what other alternatives do I have? Thank you

Following this thread. I just noticed exactly the same situation with my samsung TV. First samsung removed YouTube, now spotify?????

Spotify wants to make playing Spotify on your TV and other devices better and easier. This means we they sometimes discontinuing device-specific apps and, instead, are giving you the ability to play to these devices from the same app you use to play Spotify on your phone, tablet, or laptop.

I just finished to chat with samsung customer service. I cannot post the quote on quote chat, not sure the reason. but to make a long story short, she said that spotify made this decision, nothing to do with samsung and she did not oppose my comment that hey are trying to push customers in buying external streaming devices such as amazon tv, apple tv, etc. Very upsetting and frustrating.

I clicked on your link for "alternative ways to get Spotify on your TV" and guess what? There are NO alternative ways UNLESS you purchase another device.  This is a great way to hemorrhage customers.

If I'm wrong, I'm eagerly awaiting an answer.

What a nerve! The quality of the orsay-os spotify app was a desaster, but ending it is a colossal cheek. The performance of the android spotify app and now this make me think about leaving spotify.

I have a 2015 TV and it doesn't have a Spotify app either.

Depends on what operating system your smart tv is running on. You need to have Tizen, not Orsay.
