Hi @yheir,
Welcome to the Community!
To start investigating the situation together, it'd be great if you could let us know in case you've tried any troubleshooting steps. Does this happen even with the Spotify app?
We suggest testing with another Wi-Fi connection if that's possible or with mobile data (shared via hotspot from your phone) as it can be a connection issue and maybe the Web Player doesn't load correctly.
On another note, make sure to clear the cache and cookies of your browser as they can also cause performance issues. To take it a step further, you can open the Web Player in another browser to see if the same behavior persists there.
Thanks and keep us posted 🙂
Hi!
This is only a problem for me on the web player, and I've already tried to clear my browsing/web cache twice (once when the problem first came up and again just a few minutes ago). Still nothing, unfortunately, despite not searching for anything.
My wifi is also fine; the page is reloading as it should (the tab itself, not the page) and the music is playing properly. For other tries, I've completely removed and retried the link fresh, and have tried connecting to my phone.
The only solution I've found so far was opening Spotify in an incognito browser, but it's a bit of an inconvenience.
Thank you though!
Thanks for getting back @yheir and for sharing that incognito worked for you.
If the Web Player loads in incognito-mode, could you check if you've got any installed extensions on the web browser that you're currently using? If that's the case, please disable all of them and test if Spotify would load.
It'd be great if you could also give the Web Player a try in a different browser in the meantime if that's possible.
Let us know how it goes.
I do have an ad blocker, but I've already tried to uninstall it or completely turn it off to see if that was the issue; still nothing. I'm alright with using incognito as an alternative, but again, it's just an inconvenience is all.
Thanks for your help regardless.
Hi @yheir,
Thanks for the reply.
There is currently an Ongoing Issue about the web player not being able to play content properly. It's highly likely that the issues you have stem from that too. Let's wait for that to be resolved and if you still face any errors, we'll gladly help you further on this thread,
Let us know if you need anything else.
I'm in the exact same boat as you, won't load the web player version in a normal chrome window but will work just fine on the app version or as the web version in an incognito window. Mine still plays music like yours but will eventually crash spotify and subsequently my whole device will crash and force restart (this has been happening for at least 2 months before I experienced your issue yesterday).
Wondering if it's all fixed for you now? Maybe I just have to have a little bit of patience lol
I assumed that the rollout of spotify wrapped broke it, but considering you've had this problem almost a month ago I guess not!
