Spotify connect failing

My Question or Issue

 Up until about two weeks ago, spotify connect was working great

for me: I could control my wifi speaker (built from a raspberry pi)

with my various apple devices.

Then about two weeks ago it started to fail. Anytime I would

return to spotify on my apple device after the screen had locked,

the "spotify connect" would disconnect, and it would be extremely

difficult to reconnect. Typically, the only thing that works is to

quit spotify, restart, then reconnect. This is a real drag.

Everything was working fine before, and I didn't change anything.

Why did spotify connect all of a sudden **bleep** out? Was there some

update that doesn't work or something?
