Spotify play counts when using Sonos

I have noticed that when I use Sonos to stream music from Spotify, those songs do not appear in my Spotify music history.

Are those streams still being recorded by Spotify (so that artists are still being paid for the streams)? If so, is it possible to have those streams show up in my Spotify account?

I noticed this too, but can't find a reply on either Sonos or Spotify forums that definitely confirm artists get the play counts when played through Sonos. I guess for Sonos, they don't care, and Spotify actually have it in their own interest to ignore the issue as the fewer pays, the less they pay!
