Spotify won't play anything

My Question or Issue

I really hope someone cn help me out. I've been using spotify in my car on my android head unit. It has android 9 and it always worked perfectly.  Since a couple of days ago it stopped playing music. The app loads and it logs me in. But all the album art is black and if I click a song it opens but immediatly skips to the next song, but that song won't play either etc. So it just skips through an entire playlist in 10 seconds. I can search for songs and it finds everything. But it I click the same happens. Black album art and doesn't play or skips through the album. I tried clearing cache and doing a clean install. By clean install I mean, Log out, uninstall app, and delete everything via filemanager I can find regarding spotify. I have no idea what the problem is. Amazon music and deezer work fine btw. Only spotify is acting up. I resetted my head unit several times ( back to factory settings) anybody experienced this before? On my phone and laptop it works normally.
