The Spotify App Won't Work. HELP!

Solved!

The Spotify App Won't Work. HELP!

So uh...I've been trying to get my Spotify app to open for a few days now and I even restarted my computer. Possibly, it may be due to the fact of how many windows I have open, but I sincerely doubt it. When I open up the Spotify app and web player on my Chromebook, the screen comes up blank. The whole thing is just, white! So, does anybody know any way to fix this? Cuz I REALLY need to update my playlist or else it'll just be too overwhelming to finish

Hi there @Afbraxton,

Thanks for the post.

If you're using a school computer or a school network, we can't guarantee that it would work as expected or allow you to log in at all. This is because school machines have certain restrictions on them, which in most cases involve blocked networking ports, so they limit traffic to sites like Spotify/ Youtube/ Facebook etc. The same goes for using a school network or VPN. Your system administrator might have set up a firewall which would block traffic to our servers, in which case there isn't much we can do from our end.

What you can try is to clear your browser cache & cookies and check if there are any pending updates, as this might be another thing causing such issues.

Hope this info helps.

Hey @Afbraxton,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We moved your post from Chats to the help boards as its content fits better here.

Since the page remains blank when you try to access the Web Player, it could be related to some damaged cache stored on your device or a restriction on the network connection.

First, we'd recommend cleaning the cache of your browser and trying it again, but using an incognito window.

If the issue persists, would you mind checking with a different Wi-Fi connection to see if it makes any difference? In case you don't have another one, you can use a mobile data hotspot to test it.

We'll be on the lookout.

Yes, that is my issue as well! I need my music, and can't get it!! 😡

Hey @Kindrynn9910,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

In this case, we'd suggest starting off with the alternatives @OscarDC posted above. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

On another note, just to confirm, is this happening on both the desktop app and the web player?

Lastly, it'd be awesome if you share with us the exact make/model and OS of the affected device.

Keep us in the loop!

Man, it's so annoying. But the other problem might be that I'm using a school computer which may have left it blank. I left it alone for a while, and even after like, a month or two it STILL WON'T OPEN. NOW, MY LOGIN SCREEN IS BLANK.

Btw, this is @Afbraxton

Yes, clearing the cache will work in most cases. To understand how to, use the simple guide at https://goddyarts.com/how-to-clear-cache-and-speed-up-your-browsing-experience/3966/
